how to

journal for wellness

Reduce stress, improve your mood, and elevate your well-being by journaling. There are many types of journals that you can explore. Try starting a daily gratitude journal, a stream of conscious journal, or an art journal.

Gratitude journal

Each day, write down what you are grateful for. Gratitude helps to rewire your mind by transitioning your thoughts from destructive, negative thinking to joy inducing, positivity.

stream of conscious journal

Start your morning writing- even if you have no idea what to write. Stream of conscious writing helps empty the mind to make space for something new. This type of journaling often supports your journey of self-discovery by uncovering your subconscious thoughts, emotions, and dreams, reveals negative thought patterns, and helps you intuit where you need to do some deeper healing work.

Art journal

Get your creativity flowing with free form drawing, doodling, or collecting images you love.

give yourself some loving self-care

Nourish your body with a supple body cream while giving yourself a massage. Massage helps reduce stress, increase relaxation, relieve muscle soreness and improves circulation. Add aromatherapy to alleviate anxiety, depression, or invigorate your senses.

Try giving yourself a mini massage when you emerge from your Soaking Ritual or when you just need a little extra Me time.

  1. Put one tablespoon of a body oil or balm of your choice in your hands.

  2. Rub your hands together in a circular motion, to warm the oil or emulsify the balm.

  3. Start with your forehead, using the palm of your hand to massage tension away and up toward the crown of your head.

  4. Next focus on your temple area. Gently massage your temples, taking care not to get any oil or balm near your eyes. This is particularly important if you are using an oil or balm that contains an essential oil. You don’t want to cause any eye irritation.

  5. Work your way around and gently massage your ears and your neck.

  6. Next, repeat step 1 and 2

  7. Using the palm of your hand, briskly massage the soles of your feet. Work your way around your toes, the top of your feet, and finally your heels and ankles.

  8. Take a few moments to sit and relax and soak in the oil or balm before showering or getting dressed.
